El Hierro has a warm climate all year round, with average temperatures of 19 - 23 C° at the coast and a constantly blowing wind. The climate here is set by the Canarian current and the northeast trade winds.

The island is famous for its "bruma", trade wind fog that totally consumes whole villages in the higher regions making them look eerie and ghost like.

In winter, the temperature varies between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius. For the rest of the year it`'s 22 degrees - and up!
